About Xi'an National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (XHDZ)
XHDZ is a national Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone (the "Zone") founded with approval of the State Council in March 1991. It is located in a southern suburb and has a cluster of scientific and educational units. The total area is planned to span 48 km2.

XHDZ is recognized as one of China's six “most innovative cities and zones” by UNIDO. It is one of China's five key national hi-tech zones and is expected to evolve into a world-class science and technology park. Plans are for the most innovative, modern, scientifically and technologically advanced, environmentally favorable, globalization, and human-oriented zone.

For many years, each index of the Zone has kept increase by over 30%. In 2005, business revenue from the Zone reached RMB104.23 billion, tax contributions amounted to RMB 3.566 billion, and its gross industrial production value was at RMB 66.81 billion. In addition, the introduction of foreign capital investments accounted for over 35% of the entire city's investments. Since the second pioneer project, the Zone has implemented over 20 preferential policies to substantially support industry development and formed industry models of four pillar industries: IT, equipment manufacturing, biological pharmaceutical, and auto industry. Now, the Zone has 30 listed companies: one company with revenue over RMB 10 billion; 11 with over RMB 2 billion; 22 over RMB 1 billion; 42 over RMB 500 million; and 138 over RMB 100 million.

Xi'an Software Park(XSP) founded in Decenber 1998, is located in the Xi'an Hi-tech Zone. XSP is the National Software Industry Center, the National Software Export Center, and the National Sourcing Industry Center.
